Tenth top ten finish of the season for Brewerton
18/10/2009Solheim Cup star Becky Brewerton finished seven (-7) under par in tied sixth position at the Carta Si Ladies Italian Open at Le Rovedine Milano Golf Club.
Rounds of 69, 68 and a final round 72 saw the Welsh number one claim her tenth top ten finish of the season and continue her excellent run of form.
Becky remains third on the European Order of Merit and only €59,000 off Sophie Gustafson in top spot. With three events remaining Becky has a chance to make up the ground on the leaders as along with Marianne Skarpnord, is one of the only players in the top five to head out to Asia for the Suzhou Ladies Masters and Korean Ladies Masters, the penultimate event of the season.
Going into the last three events, Brewerton’s fine season continues as she now leads Europe for stroke averages (70.97), strokes below par (-72) and total number of birdies (245) and eagles (10).
