Fourth place finish for Brewerton in Turkey
10/05/2010Wales’ number one golfer Becky Brewerton finished one over par (+1) in tied fourth position at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open in Antalya.
Rounds of 72, 72 and a final round 76 saw the Solheim Cup Star take her impressive form of 2009 into her 2010 campaign with a solid top five finish at the par 73 National Golf Club, Antalya.
Becky finished ahead of strong field in Turkey, but four strokes behind eventual winner Melissa Reid despite not being entirely happy with her game.
After finishing the 2009 season 3rd on the Henderson money list and leading Europe for total number of pars, birdies, eagles and number of top ten finishes, Becky is widely tipped to win the order of merit in 2010. The result and cheque for €9,640 sees Becky move up to 9th place on Henderson money list after four events.
This week is the Unicredit German Ladies Open at the Golfpark Gut Hausern near Munich, Germany and with a strong field assembled; Becky will be pushing for another strong finish.
